Welcome to Xfindem. By using the platform you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Mission

Xfindem is a non-commercial civic platform dedicated to publicizing missing persons and collecting community sightings. It does not replace official channels (police, emergency lines, authorities).

2. Account and verification

To post a case you must create an account and submit an ID document. Verification is discretionary and may be revoked if we detect abuse, false identity, or misleading content.

3. Permitted content

You may only publish cases of real missing persons with the authorization of the next of kin or legal guardian. The following is prohibited:

• False, defamatory, sensationalist, or discriminatory content;
• Degrading images or anything that violates the dignity of the missing person;
• Third-party data without consent;
• Any unauthorized commercial or promotional use.

4. Sightings

Anyone may submit a sighting. Information must be truthful and in good faith. False reports may have legal consequences.

5. Moderation

We reserve the right to review, refuse, edit, or remove any case, sighting, or account that violates these terms or applicable law.

6. Limitation of liability

Xfindem is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not responsible for search outcomes, the accuracy of sighting reports, or damages arising from platform use.

7. Intellectual property

Case content belongs to its posters. By posting, you grant Xfindem a non-exclusive license to publicize the case on the platform and sharing channels (including posters and social media).

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Brazilian law. Users in the European Union also benefit from GDPR protections.
